I am in a few shows soon. The first show I have one piece in and will be at The Main Line Art Center in Haverford, PA with an opening reception on Friday, December 14. I potentially will have my art at a small gallery in Old City for First Friday this December. Details on that to come soon!
The next show will be at the Gryphon Cafe in Wayne, PA from Feb. 2nd to March 2nd! This will be a small group show, so me and two other artists! Jeff Hurwitz has a work included in the Michener Art Museum’s show Making Magic: Beauty in Word and Image. Among the other prestigious photographers in the show are Emmett Gowin, Bruce Katsiff, Stephen Perloff and Paula Chamlee. Show dates: November 3, 2012 to March 31, 2013. Professor Steinke and art student, Matt Beniamino, were chosen to participate in the Lehigh Valley II Slideluck Postshow. Slideluck is part of the Olympus Invision Photo Festival and Lehigh Valley Month of Photography, sponsored by Artsquest. This will be Steinke’s second time to participate in the Lehigh Valley Slideluck event. Matt’s slideshow presentation was created during the Digital 2 course last fall.

Slideluck is a New York City-based arts nonprofit, operating in many cities globally, that aims to bring people together around food and art, and to give people an interesting, engaging and fun platform for sharing art with their community.The Slideluck Lehigh Valley event will also include light refreshments, complimentary Brooklyn Beer sampling and a cash bar. The Centennial Exhibition exhibition will be on view from October 20 through January 13, 2013 and will feature artists living either within the State of Delaware or within 100 miles of the Museum. The exhibition is guest-curated by John B Ravenal, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
On exhibit will be Professor Steinke’s image “bird” from her recent series “Purgatory Road”.

Senior art therapy students will display responsive art pieces reflecting their on-site experiences at Hidden Meadows On-the-Ridge in Sellersville, PA. The residents at Hidden Meadows will also be displaying a series of prayer flags created during the sessions provided by the art therapy interns.
